Hello! My name is mrs. Fallert...

Welcome to the fourth and fifth grade classroom at St. Joseph School! I have been teaching at this wonderful, vibrant school since August of 2013. I attended St. Joseph as an elementary student and then continued my education at Valle Catholic Schools. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University and am a Missouri state-certified elementary teacher. My years at St. Joseph have been an adventure of growing and learning, for both my students and myself.
One of the things I cherished as a student and which continues to foster my fondness of St. Joseph today is the school’s genuine family environment. Small class sizes provide unique opportunities for students and teachers to understand one another as individuals and to grow as teammates. All children, from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, look out for each other and gather together in moments of genuine camaraderie and fellowship. It is remarkable to see children of all ages working, learning, and playing together.
In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where my students feel safe, valued, and eager to learn. Curiosity is a natural childhood trait and helping children to nurture that curiosity and reach their individual potential drives my teaching. God Bless!

“I’ve come to a frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It’s my personal approach that creates the climate. It’s my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or dehumanized.” - Haim Ginott
